About

The Knowledge Engine is an open source initiative by TNO and has successful applications in the agrifood, defence, smart homes and energy domains. It is a product of TNO's longstanding research on
knowledge representation and reasoning.

It has been developed in a series of applied research projects including InterConnect. In this project it has been applied as the core technology for the semantic interoperability layer. The InterConnect project was funded through the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant agreement No. 857237.
